Anniversary Dress

Michelle Obama looking dashing in black! I love the neckline of this dress and I love her up-do. Mrs. Obama wore this when she went out to dinner for her and Barack's 17th anniversary. So sweet!

Red Alert!

Michelle Obama accompanied her husband to the 64th session of the UN General Assembly yesterday! She will play hostess tonight for spouses of world leaders - showing them around Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! Some people have critiqued her shimmery red dress suit, but I like it. I think it's great - I especially love the neckline and how it is well tailored. She really knows when to dress up, but she does it without wearing a bad suit like many females in Washington. My favorite part is that she is coordinating with her husband - you KNOW she planned that! Love it! Seen on The Huffington Post.

Michelle Obama Speaking on Health Care!

Michelle Obama wore this FIERCE outfit when she spoke about health care on Friday, September 18. She said this:

"Women are disproportionately affected by this issue because of the roles that we play in families. And women are more likely to work part-time, or to work in small companies or businesses that don’t provide any insurance at all.”

She makes a great point and looks awesome in this white and black geometric skirt, green cardigan, and white blouse. Again, she is so great at picking an accent color and making it work!

White House Garden

Great initiative to plant a garden at the White House. Learn about it from Michelle Obama's own words...what a great role model!

Loving the Pop of Color!

This is from August, and I think the pops of turquoise are so cute and it is a good outfit choice for Sumemr. She has such a great sense of when to where what. She knows when to look dressy (like at Senator Kennedy's funeral), professional (like at Obama's health care speech), and casual (like when she was painting). I love Michelle's choice here to wear a comfortable but still very appropriately dressy outfit to meet with Justice Sotomayor.

Michelle Volunteering!

She can get get her hands dirty and still look great! I love Michelle's Summery outfit that is still casual enough to paint in. She is painting at a Habitat for Humanity site in D.C., on September 11. She's so great. BRAVO Michelle on volunteering! :)

Chic but Dressy - Looking Lovely in Pink!

I always find myself wanting to write about Mrs. Obama's great style on my blog, so why not just start a new one? If I knew how to become a professional blogger instead of going to school - I would! Go Michelle Go!!! Don't you just love her style? I love her brooch and the adorable bow. She's so great.
